Recycling Task

Driftwood Stag 

This was created by Artist Heather Jansch, whom is a sculptor who specializes in creating sculptures with Driftwood and Bronze. Heather had attempted to use different materials before for her work, but they lacked the power and essential nature of horses. She then had the idea to use driftwood for her sculptures, said driftwood being collected from waste and recycled into pieces of amazing art. 

The body language of the horse sculptures is  very realistic, Heather had described it to be like "line drawing with wood." I like the idea of using recycled objects to create sculptures, because most recycled objects are practically useless and the Artist is making useless objects into pieces of inspiring art, and giving the useless materials a little more utility. 

Castaway

Castaway is about a FedEx employee called Chuck Noland who is summoned to resolve a problem in Malaysia but the plane he boards ends up crashing because a bad storm. Chuck ends up stuck on an inhabited island, recycling things from the FedEx boxes which had washed up on the shore to survive. 

In one of the FedEx boxes, there are ice skates in which Chuck uses the blades on them to cut fabric which he can use as gauze.

He uses bubble wrap and cloth from his pants as gauze and bandages for his wound, he also uses the shoelaces from the ice skates to tie the cloth and bubble wrap down.

Chuck uses the cardboard from the FedEx boxes as bedding.

He also uses the decorative netting from a dress out of the FedEx box to make a fishnet.

"Recycle After Effects"

This animation has a strong message which is that if we continue to waste paper, we are really just destroying tree in the end. And the more paper we waste the more trees will be cut down. And that "A ton of recycled paper saves 24 trees" 

"Authentic Recycling"

As you can see, this illustration is of a boat made from things like washing machines, microwaves, fridges and televisions and there's also an umbrella at the end of the ship. I like this piece of art because it's different from most of the other recycling based illustrations I've seen.
